• "Stonescapes LLC transformed our property from a neglected, suburban eyesore into an elegant oasis. We approached the team with loose and poorly articulated concepts, and they articulated concepts and enhanced our vision with encyclopedic and artistic sensibility. George, Bjorn and Josh also helped us create the best plan for our budget. They were flexible and receptive to modifications and even during the installation. The whole process was actually fun and surprisingly quick , since we had their undivided attention every day from the beginning to the end of the project. Their arsenal of tools and equipment helped too.The guys were capable and extremely professional, but more importantly were trustworthy and extremely nice. Our dog is the best judge of character and he was always happy to see them in the morning. I can't recommend Stonescapes LLC enough. In our many renovations the landscaping was the most drastic enhancement. Thanks you for making our home a sanctuary of stone and flowers.

• "A five-star review goes out to Bjorn, George and Josh for the amazing dry stack stone retaining wall and landscaping just completed. They were easy to work with from the beginning design phase to a beautifully crafted retaining wall. As an engineer, I was very impressed with the attention to detail as the wall was being built from the footing through the dry stacking of stone to the cap stone placement. I was particularly impressed with the skill maintaining the batter through two large radii at each end of the retaining wall. 

For the landscaping requirements, low maintenance was desired using evergreen plants and perennials for color. George accompanied me to the nursery to select and later install his recommendations.

Many compliments were received by passersby during the build and they continue to this day.

• “My husband and I give Bjorn Muten and his team of stone artisans,  5 stars.  We live on an Island in New Hampshire and we now have completed our beautiful lake home with the natural look of granite stone pathways, patios and edged gardens!  Add to this image a gently sloping staircase into the water and a lovely stone fire pit and you have the picture of what Bjorn along with his team created for us last summer at our home on Melody Island, Lake Winnipesaukee.  

After initiating the project  with several local contractors (they came to see our site, but never called us back), we finally found a truly satisfying contracting experience with “BAM”.  

It was right away, during his visit in April that Bjorn not only walked  us through his vision, but also gave us a quote, and even secured a barge and a local loam guy to work with before he left, that we knew this was finally going to work.  We  decided the dates and as he took his leave, Bjorn promised an e-mail with  the itemized bill; a rendering of what we had talked about; and a work-plan of what they would accomplish when they returned in late June.  The e-mail, as promised, arrived in a timely fashion.

Bjorn’s professionalism and that of his team never disappointed.  As the week progressed, we watched as they brought the vision together, even offering little add-ons that we had not requested or actually even dreamed of. The presence of a landscape architect on the team is a real incentive to contract with this company.  During the course of their time with us, our gardens also received loving care with new plantings.  Under George’s informed gaze, we chose the right plants to bring the stone paths to a finished look.

We went on to enjoy our new look for the entire summer and know we will enjoy it for years to come.  Our beautiful home has gotten the tasteful, natural surrounds that it deserves and we could not be more certain that the wait was worth it.”
